Aquasol® Corporation introduces Aquasol water-soluble paper and tape

Amherst, NY (October 1, 2003) - Aquasol® Corporation introduces Aquasol® Water-Soluble Paper and Tape, highly economical and efficient purge dam materials that dissolve instantaneously in water. An alternative to traditional cardboard purging systems, Aquasol® water-soluble paper and tape are extremely easy to use and provide a safe work environment for welders. Aquasol® purge paper is used to dam Argon or Helium gases during Tungsten Inert Gas (TIG) welding of Steel or Aluminum pipes. When constructing a purge dam, Aquasol® is extremely simple, fast to use, and decreases the amount of gas used, unlike traditional cardboard purging. Simply cut the Aquasol® paper, similar to the diameter of the pipe, fold, and apply. The pressure sensitive, adhesive water-soluble tape holds the purge dam in place. After welding is complete, Aquasol® purge dams instantly dissolve by flushing the system with water or steam. The paper and tape are non-toxic, non-corrosive and leave no harmful residue in the pipe.
