The Aquasol® Corporation is committed to Advancing Welding Technology through the introduction of products that enhance welding efficiency.
 In May 2003, The Aquasol® Corporation entered the welding industry by launching Aquasol® water-soluble paper and tape as a cost savings alternative to conventional purging systems. Aquasol® purge paper is used to dam Argon or Helium gases during Tungsten Inert Gas (TIG) welding of Steel or Aluminum pipes. The Aquasol® Corporation quickly became known for providing the welding industry with user-friendly packaging, prompt service and technical know-how.
With a mission to become the industry's TIG purging specialist, the Aquasol® Corporation then introduced the patent-pending EZ ZoneTM Tape and EZ TapeTM in November 2004 followed by EZ WipesTM in April 2005.
 EZ ZoneTM Tape is a simple yet innovative product. The aluminum tape is composed of two adhesive areas on the outside edges, with an adhesive-free center "Zone". Our engineers observed welders sealing the root gap between pipes with fully coated aluminum tape to retain Argon gas in the weld area. While this is an industry standard, our engineers noticed the weld area was being contaminated with adhesive. As welders know, maintaining cleanliness in the weld area is essential for high quality. Soon after, EZ ZoneTM Tape was born. The adhesive edges stick to the area surrounding the root gap on stainless steel and aluminum pipes with the adhesive free "zone" being placed over the weld. The adhesive never comes in contact with the root gap as it is welded, creating a clean, contaminant-free weld.
 EZ TapeTM is traditional aluminum welding tape that can be used to seal root gaps while purging, however, we recommend EZ ZoneTM Tape be used for this purpose to achieve the purest weld. EZ TapeTM has many other conventional uses in the field such as sealing pipe ends for transporting, sealing ducts for heating, air conditioning and refrigeration, and acting as a vapor barrier.
EZ WipesTM allow a welder to quickly and effectively clean pipes prior to welding, reducing the risk of weld contamination and increasing the number of pure finished welds.
